  • BioSITE - For a virtual field trip, the web site has dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and other data for several sites on the Guadalupe river. Click on “BioSITE Data Center.”
  • Global Rivers Environmental Education Network - This web site offers a place for students to store water monitoring data and track water monitoring projects, along with resources for the teacher to implement a school-based water monitoring program.
  • U.S. Geological Survey’s WaterWatch - This web site gives real-time data on stream flow conditions at about 3,000 stream gauges nationwide.
  • US Geological Survey - real-time data on temperature and dissolved oxygen at specific USGS stream sites (click on “Water Quality Table”).
  • What’s Up with Our Nation’s Waters? - You can download this booklet for 10- to 15-year-olds from the EPA. It includes information on water quality and water quality testing, science projects, a water quiz, glossary, and a list of resources for more information.
